For the outdoor camera enthusiast, there is no greater place to discover the rich wilderness of northern Saskatchewan than our lodge. With over 160 breeding species of birds in the area, including more than 20 different species of wood warblers, Doré Lake can be host to a photographer's paradise. Many an excited nature buff have been able to photograph their "picture of a lifetime" from the lodge dining room which overlooks a favorite gathering place for squirrels, birds and wildlife of all varieties.

We have many moths and butterflies, and have yet to identify all we have seen. One tree in particular at the lodge seems to be host to both species. It's quite a cycle of nature we are privileged to observe.
